  • Red Light Therapy (RLT) is a 100% safe, UV-free and science-backed treatment. By using specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light, it stimulates your body’s cells to produce more energy (ATP).

    Think of your body acting like a solar panel: it absorbs the light to power up your system. This results in an immediate energy boost, accelerated recovery, reduced inflammation, increased collagen production and so much more. 

  • Yes, it is 100% safe. Although our full body Red Light Therapy beds looks like tanning beds, it works in the exact opposite way. Tanning beds use UV light to damage your skin cells (tanning). Red Light Therapy use specific red and near-infrared wavelengths to restore and recharge your cells.

    There is zero UV exposure, no risk of burning, and it is completely safe for all skin types.

    However, as a precaution, we do not recommend RLT for: 

    • Pregnant women (due to insufficient research on fetal effects). 

    • People with active cancer or those currently undergoing oncological treatment. 

    • People with photosensitivity or those taking medication that causes light sensitivity (e.g., Isotretinoin/Accutane). 

    When in doubt, we always advise consulting your doctor first.

  • Absolutely. Red Light Therapy (also known as PBM or Photobiomodulation in scientific literature) is supported by thousands of clinical studies (including by NASA). Its effects on mitochondrial energy (ATP), collagen production, muscle recovery, inflammation reduction, and sleep quality are extensively documented.

  • For optimal results, we recommend 2 to 3 sessions per week.

     

    More than 3 sessions a week rarely offers additional benefits: a single 12-minute session delivers a full therapeutic dose. We also advise a minimum of 48 hours between sessions to allow your body to process the effects optimally. 

  • Red Light Therapy relies on consistency. Science shows that sporadic sessions have no long-term impact. To achieve real results (skin improvement, energy, recovery), a frequency of 2-3 times per week is encouraged.

    Our memberships make this weekly habit affordable and encourage the consistency needed for success. With an active membership, you enjoy the flexibility to book one session every day.

  • Your membership grants access to our full-body Red Light Therapy beds for whole-body recharge, recovery and rejuvenation. If you prefer to treat only your face, professional red light LED masks are also available.

    Both are included and can be booked once daily. However, for optimal results, we advise leaving 48 hours between sessions to let your body fully process the benefits.

  • Yes. Going on holiday or having a busy couple of weeks? Depending on your membership plan, you can pause for up to 4 weeks per year.

  • We will be open daily from 06:00 to 23:00, allowing you to visit whenever it fits your schedule.

    All bookings are managed through our easy-to-use LUUM app. Simply schedule your session, and you will receive a personal QR code that gives you secure access to the studio.

  • Your first visit is always by appointment during our staffed hours.

     

    We will welcome you personally, explain how the equipment works, and ensure you start your session relaxed and confident.

    After this introduction, you can purchase a membership, which grants you access to visit independently whenever it suits you (from 06:00 to 23:00). 

  • Each session lasts exactly 12 minutes.

     

    That is less than 1% of your day. Including changing time, you can be in and out in under 20 minutes. Easy to fit into even the busiest schedule. 

  • No, the timing is flexible. Red Light Therapy is beneficial at any time of day.

     

    Thanks to our wide opening hours (06:00 – 23:00, 7 days a week), you can choose the moment that feels best for you: as a morning boost, a lunch break recharge, or an evening wind-down. 

  • It is highly recommended to wear protective eyewear during any professional Red Light Therapy session, especially if you are using a high-irradiance device that exposes your face.

     

    While the light is safe for skin, the brightness can be uncomfortable for the eyes. At LUUM, protection goggles are always available so don’t hesitate to use them. 

  • Yes, this is strongly recommended.

     

    Recovery and energy production happen after the session, not during it. Your body needs that rest period to translate the stimulus into results. With Red Light Therapy, more is not always better.

  • No, LUUM operates on a 'hybrid' model for maximum flexibility.

     

    During specific hours, staff is present for guidance and intakes. Outside these hours, the studio is 'members-only' and accessible via the app.

     

    Safety and hygiene are our priority: the spaces are professionally cleaned daily, and sanitizing supplies are available. The studio is monitored by 24/7 security cameras and equipped with emergency buttons in every room. 

  • Your membership entitles you to 1 session per day, but there is no obligation.

     

    If you have booked a session but cannot make it, please cancel via the app so your spot becomes available for another member.
